Trademarks and registered terms
Buffini & Company has a significant portfolio of trademarked and registered terms. Using them correctly is a legal requirement and a brand standard.
Trademark symbol rules
- Apply the trademark symbol (™) or registered symbol (®) on the first mention of the term in body copy, even if an image or logo with the term is present
- Always use superscript format: Buffini AI Bootcamp™. Not Buffini AI BootcampTM.
- Subsequent mentions in the same piece do not require the symbol
- When the Buffini logo is present on any material, treat it as a first-mention context
Exceptions by context
Member letters and dialogues: Do not include ® in “Oh, by the way…” in member letters or scripted dialogues. The phrase is registered, but the symbol disrupts the natural reading experience in those formats.
