How we write
Voice and tone
This section connects the Brand and Voice Guide to the practical decisions writers make. Every grammar rule and formatting choice in this guide is in service of this voice. Read this section first.
The brand voice
The Buffini voice is that of the Pioneer Coach: a guide who has gone first, proven what works, and come back to bring others through. The voice earns trust before it asks for anything. It leads with clarity, not cleverness. It speaks to real estate professionals as capable adults who need a proven system, not a pep talk.
The voice in four words
Confident. Direct. Generous. Steady.
Not pushy. Not harsh. Not hype. Not corporate.

The five traits in copy
Every piece of content should reflect at least one of the five brand traits. These are not abstract descriptors. They are behavioral standards that show up in word choice, structure, and emphasis.
Trait
Whatit means in copy
Watch out for
Relational
Lead with people, not metrics. Celebrate relationships, not just results.
Skipping the human element to get to the point faster.
Proven
Lead with outcomes. Use real numbers and real stories. Reference the methodology.
Vague inspiration without evidence. Promises without proof.
Generous
Give value before asking for anything. Create content that helps before it sells.
Content that is dressed as giving but angled toward a close.
Principled
Hold the standard. Do not soften the truth to be liked.
Hedging on what works. Following trends that contradict our principles.
Whole
Connect business wins to life quality. Respect time, family, and health as real business concerns.
Reducing the Good Life to a financial outcome only.
Audience calibration
Tone stays consistent. Emphasis shifts by audience. Use this to dial in language for any asset.

The pre-publish filter checklist
Before publishing any piece of content, apply this checklist. If you cannot answer yes to the majority, revise.
1. Is it clear? No fog. The reader should know exactly what you are saying.
2. Is it useful? Does it give the reader something they can do or think differently?
3. Is it encouraging? Does it raise their belief that success is possible?
4. Is it principled? Does it reflect our standards, even when that is harder?
5. Does it demonstrate commitment? Does it feel like it comes from a partner, not a vendor?
6. Does it speak to the hero? Would a real estate professional at any stage recognize their problem and feel seen?
7. Would a Pioneer Coach say it this way? Run it through the brand voice. Does it match?
